Ol Pejeta activities at a glance

Entry gives you a game drive and the public chimpanzee visit. Everything else is a paid activity that you add on top. Most of them cost $70 per adult in 2026, and several have a child price of $35. Prices include value added tax and can change.

Book at least one day ahead. Lion Tracking and the Night Game Drive need a minimum of 4 people, and the tariff provides a shared vehicle for those two. For other activities, transport may cost extra, so ask when you book.

Our picks: game drives, camping and night drives

The private day trip is the straightforward choice for game drives and the chimpanzee sanctuary. Take the camping night if you want to sleep in the conservancy, and the two-day safari if you want to add a night drive or rhino tracking, which are both paid separately.

For most first-time visitors who book one paid activity, meeting the northern white rhinos is the one you cannot do anywhere else. Add a night drive if you have a group of 4 or more.

What the main activities involve

Details for the ones that need planning.

Lion Tracking

The tracking follows lions that carry collars, led by a tracker. It gives you a chance to find them, not a promise. Four people are the minimum, and the vehicle is shared.

Dog Tracking

The K9 activity works with tracker dogs. Ask at booking what the session covers on your day.

Bushwalk and Birdwalk

Rangers accompany you on foot. Check at booking where the walk starts and how long it lasts. Book it in advance.

Meet the Northern White Rhinos

A guided visit to the last two northern white rhinos in their guarded enclosure. Slots are 08:30 to 09:30, 11:00 to 12:00, 15:00 to 16:00 and 16:30 to 17:30, usually daily, depending on the animals and on availability. See the northern white rhino page.

Behind the Scenes at the chimpanzees

It explains the daily care of the chimpanzees, in the slot 11:45 to 12:45. The regular public visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary is included in entry and is not the same activity.

Livestock and Wildlife Integration

It shows how the conservancy runs Boran and Ankole cattle alongside wildlife.

Conservation Talk

The conservancy asks for 3 days notice for this one.

Included with entry

No extra activity fee, but the entry fee still applies.

The public chimpanzee visit runs 08:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 16:30. The Morani Information Centre is open daily from 07:30 to 18:00 and has no separate activity fee. The Nature Trail is open from 09:30 to 16:30. Entry rates are on the park fees page.

Prices are valid for January to December 2026. If you are on a budget, the Conservation Talk at $20 and Run the Wild at $40 are the cheapest paid activities. Most of the others share the $70 adult price, so choose by interest, not by cost.

If you would rather hike a mountain than walk the bush, Mount Kenya has its own guide to trekking routes.
