Ol Pejeta park fees 2026 at a glance
Ol Pejeta is a conservancy with its own fee list, not a Kenya Wildlife Service national park. The 2026 tariff has three visitor categories: East African citizens, East African residents and non-residents. Non-residents pay in US dollars. Citizens and residents pay in Kenyan shillings (KES).
Entry covers a regular game drive and the public visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Vehicle fees, paid activities and camping are extra. The gates take no cash, so buy your ticket online before you travel.

Ol Pejeta entry fee by visitor type
Daily entry per person in 2026. Currency differs by category.
| Visitor type | Adult | Child (3 to 11) | Student in a qualifying group |
|---|---|---|---|
| East African citizens | KES 2,000 | KES 1,000 | KES 500 |
| East African residents | KES 3,500 | KES 1,750 | KES 500 |
| Non-residents | $110 | $55 | $32 |
Children under 3 enter free. From age 12 the adult rate applies. Student rates are for groups of at least 10 people that book in advance and travel with a teacher or carry a letter from their institution. Two teachers per group enter free, and a school guide costs KES 2,500. Students who travel alone do not get a discount.
For most overseas visitors, budget $110 per adult and $55 per child, then add the vehicle fee and any paid activities.
Vehicle fees
Charged per vehicle on top of the entry fee, in Kenyan shillings.
| Vehicle | Fee |
|---|---|
| Up to 6 seats | KES 1,000 |
| 7 to 12 seats | KES 5,000 |
| 15 seats or more | KES 12,000 |
| School bus on a weekday | KES 5,000 |
| School bus at the weekend | KES 10,000 |
The middle band covers 7 to 12 seats. If your vehicle has 13 or 14 seats, ask which rate applies when you book. For a car or a small safari van with up to 6 seats, the fee is KES 1,000. If you hire a conservancy vehicle with a driver guide instead, the price is KES 28,000 for a half day or KES 35,000 for a full day, per vehicle and not per person, and the entry fee is charged separately.
How entry, booking and payment work
The rules that decide what you pay and when.
One entry per ticket
A day ticket covers one entry. If you leave the conservancy and come back, you pay entry again. Overnight guests have 24 hours.
Gates and hours
Visitors use the Rongai and Serat gates, open daily from 07:00 to 19:00. See the getting there page for the road from Nairobi.
Book before you travel
The gates are cashless, and the conservancy points visitors to its online ticket system. Booking ahead is the safe plan. Do not count on paying at the gate.
Proof of status
Citizens show an ID or passport. Residents show a passport with a work permit or an alien certificate.
What entry includes
A regular game drive and the public visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. A vehicle, a driver or a guide is not part of the entry fee. Hiring one is covered on the safari page.
Camping costs more
A campsite costs KES 3,500 per adult and KES 1,750 per child per night, plus the entry fee. An armed ranger is compulsory at KES 5,000 per night. See where to stay.
Paid activities and other parks
Costs that come on top of the entry fee.
Lion tracking, night drives, bushwalks and meeting the northern white rhinos cost $70 per adult in 2026, with entry on top. The full list is on the activities page.
National parks run by the Kenya Wildlife Service use a separate fee system. If you add one to your trip, such as Nairobi National Park, check its own fees.
